OT: Anyone have or driven a F90 BMW M5

I'm considering a new M5 that i'd have in addition to my 991 C2S, does anyone have one of these, or test driven one? I'm curious on how the ride is compared to a 991, especially if it's a Competition model.

F90 vs 911

I have a 2015 M4 as my daily and was interested in the M5 Competition as an upgrade. Its gotten really good reviews. The M4 CS looks good too though. BMW also has free maintenance for the first 3 yrs

Yes, I have an M5C - nice sedan, and likely is the best driving sedan out there (this is very personal, but it is for me). But no way it drives like a sports car. Any sports car. M5C is about comfort, luxury, and torque. Porsche is about handling, and driving experience, regardless if 991 or other models. Hope it helps.

I did several times before ordering the 911, after Every drive the one word I Kept using to describe the F90 was “Numb”
also not a fan of fake sounds from the speaker

Doesn't the T have fake sounds going through the speakers?

No, that is reserved for the GT cars only

Thanks or the responses. I keeping my 911 so i'm not too concerned about it feeling a sports car. I'm comparing the M5 to a Audi RS5 Sportback. I'm coming from a Audi S4. So does the M5C ride nicer than the 911? Some people have commented that it rides pretty rough but it's hard to know what they are comparing to.

The standard F90 M5 rides more softly than the M5Competition if it's a priority.

Even in intermediate or the hardest suspension setting, to me, the M5C is quite comfortable. I have a r/t 50 mile daily commute in traffic and bad roads. But this is from someone who also commuted in an Abarth 500 with modified suspension and did not mind at all. I also have other daily drivers, and the M5C is comfortable. I heard complaints about how hard the suspension of the M5C is, but I guess some people need to go to a chiropractor and be checked.

One other question, how low is the M5C compared to a Carrera? Mine has the aerokit so it's pretty dang low. I assume the M5C is not that low.

Not that low. So far, no issues whatsoever.

I had an 18' M5 First Edition for about 8 months. It is a fantastic DD - tons of power, handles as well as you would expect, kind of under the radar which I appreciated. I did notice power and sound really woke up after 1500 miles or so. A while back I had a 14' 991 with X51 which I enjoyed. Not as quick as the M5 but much more fun to drive. In regards to comfort, I was always in sport mode and the ride is pretty stiff. You will feel everything. I can't imagine that the Comp version would be much tighter but it is supposed to be. Being able to switch from 4wd to 2wd was cool, it will get sideways very easy,
