GT500
I didn't find another thread on the new GT500 so here we go.
Does anybody have a deposit down or have information to share on pricing? I took a quick look at the articles. Looks like a lot of interesting options B&O stereo, carbon rims, carbon track pack (CFTP). Could this be the first six figure Mustang? It's hard for me to imagine spending six on a Mustang but I thought Vettes crossing six was nuts until it happened.
I've never been a muscle car guy but the older I get the more I'm getting the itch. I think this might be the one. Theres a short video clip and the sound IS intoxicating!

I own a GT350R and I’m first in line for the GT500 at my dealer. The R is pure drivers car, IMO - incredible but of course build quality could use a little boost although mine is better than many I’ve seen. Not sure if the 500 will up the ante in fitment but I know they’ve improved on materials to a degree. With the R, it’s plenty fast for the twistys but on the open road, as always, an extra 100hp would be great .
the GT500 will certainly fill the ho gap and it seems like the handling is getting a proportionate improvement but I worry that the DCT only option might taint the experience for many. We will see. maybe the GT350R will get a taste of that 997 GT MT appreciation

I think the 500 is more in the mold of street fighter than the track weapon your R is. Streetlight to streetlight and quarter mile. Ford's announced its a 10 second car...
I wouldn't count on actual manufacturing quality to improve at all. The design language on the interior is pretty nice though.
