Apples to Oranges: R8 V10 Plus v GT350R
Forum,
Very odd comparison I realize. For someone who owns a Turbo S and a GT3 6MT, would you recommend an R8 V10 Plus or GT350R?
This will not really be tracked. It's purely for occasional backroad spirited driving. Added to this, I will be living in NYC starting next year but that shouldn't factor in much.
Pros of the 350R: Incredible looks, incredible sound, rare, great value and should hold that value
Cons of the 350R: very stiff ride for the road, slow compared to the R8, interior, redundant with the GT3
Pros of the R8: superb V10, more usable (particularly in the northeast), much faster, more exotic.
Cons of the R8: brutal depreciation, numb steering, redundant with the Turbo
Appreciate the input from the forum on this weird question.

Why buy either one of them when you already have the Turbo S and GT3? In a city with so much traffic that owning a car might well be an exercise in futility I can't see either of those options being better than the Turbo S for getting around town. The Mustang GT350R doesn't make sense outside a race course. Get a non-R if you plan to drive it on the street. The R8 is beautiful, but entirely less useful and functional than the 911.

I agree, I would get the GT350, the non R version if your not tracking it. Sounds great. The R8 is cool and an awesome machine, but I've never been a fan of the looks.
