Default What Happens When a Botique Dealer is Paid in Full & 1 month later no car,?

Hello fellow Rennlister,

I was tempted to post
my query in the 928 Forum. Where I usually hang-out, however this may be appropriate in the general forum.

My Dilemma

I purchased a converted 2002 BMW Wagon. It was converted to ZHP Wagon which BMW never offered.

Here is the link.

The seller tells me I have to pay in full which I did on April 5th. I have the wire transfer to prove it.

There was some in-house delays by the seller.
He had not completed installation of new fabric to the headliner and heated driver seat was not functioning. It took him about three weeks to resolve.

He further blamed the AUTO TRANSPORTER industry that No transporters were returning to Fort Lauderdale area due to the “snow birds” affect. This was back in April 2018.

Today it is May 17, 2018. I have no wagon.
He has all my money. He shows no motivation to expedite shipment of the wagon.

He not offered to compensate for my fraustations. My wife is miffed with the fact I had to inconvenience her to drop everything and wire the money ASAP on April 5th.

I can only assume there I actually is a ZHP Wagon.

He tells me not worry. Having the Bill Of Sale is more powerful than possesion of the wagon.

It would be nice to have both.

I am Nor Cal and the Dealership is in Fort Lauderdale. I am clueless were to begin. I prefer toto have the Wagon. Sadly I do not know how to motivate him to ship the wagon. After all I have patiently waited about forty five days.

Payment in full included shipping cost. His Facebook website states he can ship vehicles.

Call the local police
Fly to Ft Lauderdale
Meet police there
Notify him you are coming, with the police, to either collect your $ (bring ALL paperwork related to this transaction, including emails, copies of wire details, any paperwork) OR get a car as it was represented and sold.
