Best car to own for 1.5 year?
 

Hi Guys,

Currently looking for a car to own for 1.5 year with minimal depreciation hit and budget of max 100k. I plan to trade in car for next purchase.

It will be a weekend car / fun driving and I am looking into either

1. 991.1 C2S or C4S

2. 981 Boxster (Sry, can't stomach 2.5L 4 cylinder engine for a sportscar)

3. Maybe BMW M2?



What do you guys think?

If I were to get C2S, what options should I look into considering that I will own the car only for a short period of time.
1. CPO?
2. Bose?
3. Sport Chrono?
4. Leather Interior?
5. 14 way seat?


The optioning world of C2S is way too complicated. :banghead:

If your looking to minimize loss I would stay away from any 911 or cayman that isn’t a GT. The M2 would be a fun car but it’s not really a full bread sports car. Also if you do go with the M2 wait till next year when the S55 version is released as the older ones will drop considerably in value. I’ll list below what I think would be fantastic cars for the value starting with the best.

1. Ferrari F430
2. 981 Spyder
3. Cayman GT4
4. Ferrari 360
5. Honda S2000
6. Lamborghini Gallardo (pre-lp)
7. Audi R8 V10 (manual)
8. BMW M2 (S55)
9. BMW E92 M3
10. BMW E46 M3

Dare I suggest a GT350/R?

I'd personally look at the above, a 997 GT3, Cayman GT4, 981 Boxster Spyder, R8 V10 6MT. A "regular" 911 or M2 won't fall on its face value-wise, but will likely depreciate a lot more than the cars above, while being a little less special and fun.

100% on 997 GT3 don't know how i left that off my list

+10000 on the F430. No expensive belt services that you have with the 360, amazing unbeatable sound, and the last ever soft top Ferrari if you buy a soft top.

Amazing sound, and driving experience.
