Default Garage floor coating recommendations?

Hi future neighbors!

I'm coming home to Boston in October (finally!) and I'm looking for recommendations for companies that can epoxy coat the floor of my garage. Does anyone have a company you'd recommend? A quick Google search came up with:

Advanced Flooring of New England
Boston Garage
Garage Floor Coating of Boston

Over in the 997 forum I learned that surface prep is really essential to creating a surface that will last. Any other tips?

If you've had a concrete floor with radiant heating installed in your house and have a contractor you'd recommend let me know too!

Looking forward to seeing you all on the roads of New England!

I'll be living in the Concord, MA area.

Cheers!

Nigel

Great! I'm looking forward to connecting with other P-car owners in MA. It's good to know there are meet-ups going on in the area.

I don't know the name of the stuff but there is a coating that penetrates the concrete and leaves you with a non-slip surface while protecting the surface. Oil on epoxy is like water on ice and it hurts when you hit the ground:/

I purchased my epoxy flooring from U Coat It. The are based in the Midwest. I had my painter prep and apply it for me. I had my garage done and well as two workshops that I own. I have a couple auto detailing business and the floors see a lot of water...no issues.

Not sure if people are still subscribing to this thread but... I bought this vinyl flooring at Costco for $120 a roll. It goes down quickly and looks pretty sweet. It also acts as a great vapor barrier. I painted a garage floor with Rustoleum epoxy a few years back. It looked good but was slippery when wet and you had to be careful of hot tires and turning your wheel while parked. Cheers!
