South Shore, MA (Halifax), Weekly Car Show.....
For those of you that live in South Shore, MA I wanted to post that every Friday starting in early May through October Halifax Walmart hosts a car show that draws between 100 and 200 cars depending on weather etc.
Show starts at about 5:00PM and goes to about 7:00PM or later depending on the time of the year. Great place for kids too. They block off the side and back lot and they have a big grassy field behind the store.
They keep a few grills running and sell dogs and burgers. Theres also an ice cream truck with treats for the kids. All proceeds go to charity so it's also for a good cause.
Last year a few Porsches showed up and I wanted to see if maybe others want to come out. All cars are welcome and the event coordinators seem to want to diversify the show so they encourage everyone to come. It draws crowds of all ages too so no one feels out of place. My son always has a blast.
I live pretty close by and I go nearly every week and I wanted to see if anyone else was up for meeting. The Walmart is located on the corner of Rt 53 and Rt 106 in Halifax. Feel free to post here or PM me if you need directions.
Hope to see more P-Cars out there!

Afshin,
I've spoken to a few of the Breakfast Club gang that are interested in going Fri. nights. Has this started in earnest yet, I know it is very popular in the summer.
It would be nice to have a good P-Car gathering.
regards,
Paul

I am trying to see if I can get my son there, or if it'll just be easier for me to go right from work in Norton / 495. Either way I'll be later than the 5pm start time, so if someone would, feel free to save me a spot...
Sorry Paul, open exhaust not possible on this run. Didn't have time to open it up last night.

I'm heading over and will get there around 5:30 with Tenny and his fac. five cobra, and I think Peter and his 356. Looks like a nice evening!
Loud exhausts are mandatory with the hotrod gang - I may have to drill some holes in your exhaust, Fred.

I will probably be there with my son Nic if he still wants to go. Otherwise it will be just me. I doubt I'll get there before 5:30 and I live literally 4 minutes away. See you all there.

Paul and Fred it was great seeing you guys there. I hope next time my son isn't pulling me in the other direction so we have some time to talk.
For others checking in on this thread, about 550 cars showed up this evening so it was slightly more than average but there is usually a minimum of 300 cars there.
Hope to see more P-Cars next time.

Afshin,
Your car looks great, you certainly like marine blue, (can't disagree!)
Yes, Nic seemed like he was on a mission to find his own rat rod. Great turn out last night, they announced that there were over 600 cars.
June 15th is European Car Day at Larz Anderson, looks like a gang from Breakfast Club will make that, lets' drive up together if possible.
regards,
Paul

Paul,
I've been debating about which car show to attend, there are two that weekend. The Heritage Gardens show is an all European car show on Saturday from morning to late afternoon. Larz Anderson is the German Car day and it's on Sunday with a simlar time schedule. Have you been to either and or do you have any feedback on either of these? I plan on showing the car at one or the other and I'm spending hte next couple of weekends getting the car ready for it.
I have been to the PCA event at Larz and it's a blast but I've never been there for the German Car day.
Anyone else been to either one of these shows? Maybe we should start a new thread?

I have been to German Car day at Larz, very laid back, usaully a good turnout of cars and people. I have not been to Heritage Show so can't comment on that. I'd love to do the Heritage show but I think alot of the Breakfast Club guys are heading to Larz. Weather may help decide on which one to attend.

Marine Blue, do you have a street address I can punch in the GPS for this Walmart. Not far from Buzzards Bay and sounds like it might be a fun friday night adventure.
