This will be a disaster. Mark my words, this will go down in history books as a major fail and will hurt the company something serious.
The only people that want this are the Euro socialist politicians. Consumer demand IS NOT the driver here. I foresee tough times ahead for PAG.
They've drank the kool-aid and the buzz won't wear off.
"Porsche plans for 50% of its production to be electric within 6 years, which is more aggressive than any other major automaker, and they are talking about all-electric instead of just plug-ins."
^^ GOOD LUCK

She already owns a Tesla Model S and I'll convert from my incoming Pana Turbo S e-Hybrid when the time comes.
After driving her Model S for the past five years, our family is sold on PEVs.

Agreed I had two electric cars... Fiat and BMWi3..cant wait for the mission E. I suspect my 2106 Targa, to be the last IC car I will own. Clearly Porsche has put millions into RD and now they are ready to put that into DD's

After trying out Teslas, I see an electric Porsche in my future. Instant torque/responsiveness would be my reason...not necessarily environmental. I can also rationalize why electric motors coupled with a high reving NA engine could be a transitional sweet spot.
Having said this, I can’t help but think about political/economic reasons such as Germany’s lack of oil-based power generation advantage versus its electric (coal and investments in renewable energies) power plant advantage. Follow the money.

I feel like it’s going to be a good idea in the long run as long as the car is sustainable and doesn't require a lot of high cost maintenance. There are gonna be some glitches at first though. I kind love to do investments in cars in general. I feel like it's worth the risk and the oldies are usually goodies. I kind of also want to get my hands on some of those old cars to just store them to their former glory and have something cool to do when I am retired. I am glad I have a 401k account and also that I have the basic knowledge of what is a 401 in the first place. I feel like it's a very good idea to have a 401k and to be able to have money when you are done with your career. but hey that's just me
