Apart from tape over the details, here, again, is the Mission E:

I would buy that Autocar rendering. The GT3 wheels look good! :-)

Not sure why it is that I can't get turned on by a truck/SUV........they all look quite similar.
Maybe when I get older .

The Audi SUV is not based on the Mission E architecture! That would be easy too expensive.

Audi is rumored to use the Mission E architecture as the base of a sporty electric sedan.

We'll see which parts cross in a couple of years but Porsche will likely get a version of the electric SUV as well. Here is a photo:

So far it seems that VW has at least four chassis under concurrent development - J1(Porsche/Audi sedans), C-BEV(Audi SUV), MEB(VW et al) and PPE(future joint premium). The MEB vehicles are the ones I'm most looking forward to seeing because they will be mainstream, reasonably priced models and the platform could offer the most flexibility for cool variations. Of course, all of this is speculation...

Ammm, that's a Cayenne pulling it, not an Audi.

It looks like a panny, with a front/back plastic facelift.

Apart from major similarities, the coil strut towers (above) look inset and a good foot lower than Model S's air units. I like that.

How many passenger cars have driveshafts that rise to the kingpin axis?

The picture doesn't do justice to how the layout will drive, with the weight of a V-6/8 gone from beneath the bonnet and down low between the axles.

I bet the engineers are having a good time.

Interesting read in that CAR magazine issue...especially the part about a 2 speed transmission....That is certainly a game changer if CAR magazine are accurate in this article....
