Sounds like a short first gear, which is both weird for an EV, and promising for its top end.

That was a waste of video. No meaningful performance shots and almost entirely generic comments. And given the car in question is still a camo’d preproduction mule, not sure the point of the video.

Watching the video...While technically it may be a major advancement....the design is rather bland and just an evolutionary change in that perspective...the whole thing is a major letdown for me....Please Porsche, Bring back the concept Mission E...That is a game changer!

THIS!

I have a deposit down for one but that decision was based on the concept design, not this revisited Panamera. If the final vehicle looks like this, I'll be glad I kept my Tesla order intact.

why porsche thinks anyone is going to be impressed by a re-imagined panamera in EV form is beyond me. this thing is boring with a capital BORING. they couldn't come up with something that was fresh and new, even on the now-popular 4-door coupe layout?? the more things advance, the more i love the designs of the 964 and 993 and will keep my aircooleds over anything from porsche today. not a unique viewpoint i know, but wasn't it great when porsche used to make real sports cars?? now they focus more on 4-door people movers. guess i'm getting old and crotchety...

It’s still a mule. Until we see the final product, it’s impossible to draw any real styling conclusions. The letdown for me is how ponderous the car looks in all the videos, including this one where he wasn’t even driving hard. It doesn’t seem like Porsche has been able to do anything magical with regard to dealing with all that weight.
