Hello, more of a question than needing help doing the work (thats the fun part!). I'm working on making my '85 944 into an amateur rally car and I was curious if you had any suggestions for the rear suspension.I want to convert it from the torsion bars into coilovers for added travel. If you could provide a write-up, some websites I could look at or just general information, it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!
    Mike

Hey just so you know man. If your gonna do a late dash swap. Honestly you should just buy a wrecked late 944. Your gonna need alllllllll the little tinquets and pieces you wouldn't think of to make it look right.

Hey, saw your post in the 914 forum about parts cars. My 914 is pretty complete so I don't really need much of anything, but I have been searching awhile for a good center console that'll fit under the dealer-added A/C unit. I know there were cut-down consoles in use, but they're not very common.

The dealer-added A/C is just a plastic housing tacked onto the bottom of the dash. It's pretty obvious. If you find one, let me know.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I"ll let you know if I decide to take you up on it. I know what its like man, I'm trying to get through school too. I also work, and I'm in the California guard ( have a few friends in the Riverside and Murrieta area actually). Time is a rare luxury that I haven't had much of. If you could come out, do you know when you'd be available?

There is something to be said for German engineering, and that something is usually #%@&%! when you find out how complicated and expensive it is to fix that engineering when it wears out or breaks.
