Knock on wood, no real problems with either one. I did have a minor electrical drain on the '95 and found that the hood latch has a micro-switch that wasn't adjusted properly. It was keeping the trunk interior light turned on. I just do thorough preventive maintenance, oil & filter changes, keep the battery on a Battery Tender when not in use, etc.
I wanted a '98 so I could have the first and the last of the 993's and this C2S turned out to be the one. If you come across any good, reasonably well-maintaned 993 of any year, you should consider it. I just think the '95 is the best (OBD1, most had no IMMOBILIZER).

Thanks for the msg. Once I decided on a '95 993, it took me about 2 years of "lurking" before I found one that had the attributes I was looking for, namely black/black, low mileage, well-maintained and basically stock, unmolested. I found it on eBay of all places, was high bidder but it didn't meet reserve. I had developed a conversation with the owner before it went off so I called him and we had a meeting of the minds. The car was in Winter Haven, FL. I rented a one-way car, drove down, spent the night at a nice hotel, he picked me up at the rental return, saw it, bought it and drove home non-stop. It's been a fantastic car....my favorite! '95 993's rock! If I can be of assistance, just let me know.
