Hey are you guys coming to MoT for Porschefest? I figure that I owe it to my new paint job to clean the bejezus out of my car and actually show it. Hope you're having a good summer.

    See this?
1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E -Green with tan interior. EXCELLENT CONDITION! Same owner since 1994. Always garage kept. No accidents and most importantly NO RUST. Preventative paint/body work completed lastyear to remove any rusting sheet metal. No ambiguous history. No abuse. Youwill NOT find acleaner, more meticulously maintained example of the only collaborative effortbetween Mercedes-Benz and Porsche AG. Recent inspection completed by our dealer certified tech here at our race shop in Daytona Beach, FL. Additional 3rd party inspection completed November 8th by well respected and Florida renowned MB specialist the Nort Northam Collection in Orlando. Seller has the original books, window sticker, most all service records and the original 500E OEM headlights that were replaced with better performing euro W124 headlamps in 1996.
Priced fairly and firmly for a quick sale. $14,500/OBO. This car needs a good home. Call John at (917)439-3589.

Knock on wood, no real problems with either one. I did have a minor electrical drain on the '95 and found that the hood latch has a micro-switch that wasn't adjusted properly. It was keeping the trunk interior light turned on. I just do thorough preventive maintenance, oil & filter changes, keep the battery on a Battery Tender when not in use, etc.
I wanted a '98 so I could have the first and the last of the 993's and this C2S turned out to be the one. If you come across any good, reasonably well-maintaned 993 of any year, you should consider it. I just think the '95 is the best (OBD1, most had no IMMOBILIZER).

Thanks for the msg. Once I decided on a '95 993, it took me about 2 years of "lurking" before I found one that had the attributes I was looking for, namely black/black, low mileage, well-maintained and basically stock, unmolested. I found it on eBay of all places, was high bidder but it didn't meet reserve. I had developed a conversation with the owner before it went off so I called him and we had a meeting of the minds. The car was in Winter Haven, FL. I rented a one-way car, drove down, spent the night at a nice hotel, he picked me up at the rental return, saw it, bought it and drove home non-stop. It's been a fantastic favorite! '95 993's rock! If I can be of assistance, just let me know.
