Hi,
I live in San Antonio, TX, and recently purchase a 2014 991.1 from Town Porsche in Engelwood, NJ. I paid them $1,000 to powder coat they wheels satin black before shipping the car to me, since they insured they would be perfect. The first thing I did when the car arrived was check the wheels. One of the wheels had been damage prior to shipping (shipper noted it on pre-shipping diagram). So, the dealership did not check over the wheels before shipping. Trying to get it resolved has been a nightmare. Dealership is basically washing their hands of it. I had to get Porsche NA involve, but dealership only offer $175 to have wheel re-powder coated. It will not match, since the same powder or process with be used (powder coating is not a easy as paint touchups for wheel repair).
So, please use my very negative experience to have the film intalled locally where you have more control if something is not quite right. I hope you have zero issues either way.
Hope this helps,
Robert
