    Hello,
My name is Clayton. I bought a 944 from a friend of mine last year and have been working on tracking down some of its history. I believe this car was yours at one point. It is a 1983 944 callaway. The guy I bought it from said the car was owned by a guy in massachusetts. I've seen some thread on rennlist and followed a link where you have the car and the conversion done with all the pictures. https://members.rennlist.com/tholyoak/callaway.html The car even has the same Brandis edu sticker. The vin number is WPOAA0948DN451936. Is this the same car? I am trying to find out more of its history as I restore it. Message me on here or here is my email: cmc.1991@yahoo.com Thanks!

Hello I do not know you but I have been reading your posts concerning engine swaps in 986 Boxsters. I currently have a 2000 Boxster S and the engine has major issues now as such I am looking to do a swap. I in particular want to put in the newer 981/987.2 engine as it has apparently fixed some of the issues that the m96/97 had. Do you know if the newer 9a1 engines will fit directly into the 986 and bolt up? Do you know will a manual 6 speed trans from my 986S bolt up to the 9a1 engine? I understand that there are issues reguarding the computers wiring and sensors and you have covered some of that in your post and the article you wrote for 101 projects and I anticipate having to work through those issues but I wanted to see if the 9a1 engine was even a possibility without major fabrication.

    Cheers

    L
