    Hi Nick,

Do you still have the tachometer for the 965? I am looking for one. How would you like to be paid? I can pay through paypal... I am in Malaysia...

Hi, you will have a cat. I doubt the japanese would let it on the road without the original cat. Easy to see anyway...........left hand side tucked inside/behind the rear wheel. You should also see the oxygen sensor sticking out of the top of it.
Some people replace the primary muffler with a straight pipe or replace the secondary with a g pipe to the tailpipe. Not particularly good to do both though.
My friend rebuilt his motor and paid serious attention to balancing all the internals and then added the Steve Wong chip. His is the quietest, smoothest 964 engine i've ever heard. His comments on the chip was that it was more responsive, made the car feel a lot more modern feeling and "woke" the whole car up.
I asked your whereabouts because i have a group of about 15 964's here in Auckland and we get together every 2 or 3 months and go for a blast and coffee/lunch somewhere. Also a good way to share tips etc on our cars.

    Cheers,
    Nick

Hi, I'm in Wellington. I gave Steve a call today and once I confirm I have a catalytic coverter, which being ex japan I expecting yes, then I'll be placing my chip order. Also after some further investigation I'll also probably replace the secondary muffler with a new performance. By all accounts that's about all you can do without throwing lots of $$$$$ and as mine is currently naked it would be cool to be able to swat everything back when selling.....if I do.
