    Biography
I am the "King" of doing various iterations of a mod 2 or 3 times before I am happy with the results. This does lead to some added expense...but I do learn in the process. As an example on my old SC, I had 3 different oil coolers.

A quote attributed to Greg Brown from Precision Motor Werks, Anaheim, CA sums it up well, "What part of Porsche Racing did you think is going to be cheap, is it the the Porsche part, or is it the Racing part?"

I just acquired from a family member a 2000 C2 and was looking for oem wheels to replace the bent aftermarket wheels. It is a daily driver, 100k miles, ims bearing done but axle boots need to be done. I currently have aftermarket, made in Italy, 18x8.5 in front and 18x10 in rear. Almost new Hankook tires. I live in LA and the streets are filled with nasty potholes.

I found your post about the 996.362.136.03 wheels not being the most rugged.

These wheels are light, made my BBS, BUT, they are NOT rugged...as I have experienced...this is not an opinion.

Since this will be a daily driver and not a track car, I just want dependability and minimal cost as I have the axle boot service coming up. If I could, I'd like to reuse the tires but that is not a must have.

What would be your recommendations for a durable daily driver wheel for my 996 C2?

    Thank you very much

    Hello Martin,
Are the MCS 2W shocks from your 993 still available? If so, at what price for just the shocks?
    Thank you,
    Jim C.

Contico is the brand. However, I do not know the model number. I got mine from Lowes few years ago when I purchase the trailer. http://www.walmart.com/ip/CONTICO-37...rcoal/40720127

Hey Steve, Thanks for the tip about Lance. I hear you about not sending the world to your best sources. Kind of an old business standard. I already sent him an email with my inquiry.
I'm a long time air cooled addict. This little 993 is charming me "Big time"! x the things the PO was too cheap to take care of... ;D

    Hi Martin,
They are straight and true? No dents?

Would you take $450 + shipping for both sets?

    Thanks,
    Neil

PS. That would be to 01748.
