I was wondering if you ever figured what was causing the excessive heat coming from the rear of your 993. I am running into the same issue with my 1990 964...The driver side rear fender behind / above the tire is extremely hot to the touch. The fan does go on when my 964 is shut off if I leave the key on the acc position. While driving the car if I have the heat on in the cabin (fans then run continously) then it is much cooler.... I had Goldcrest Porsche (Kennesaw- near my home) take a look and they found nothing wrong.....Passenger side is cooler to the touch... The undertray is of course removed and the cat seems to be fine (not glowing - I had a cat go bad on an other car)
Any idea's would be appreciated..........I realized you were here in Atlanta, figured I would reach out to you...........Love your car by the way.......beautiful........
Hey Jan, I am just seeing this... apologies. I ended up making all the Vinyl stickers for the project, but sadly I don't have the original files I made them from. If I remember correctly I took a picture of a 930 rear on the internet and scaled it to be printed in Vinyl. My gearbox finally gave out and the car won't move anymore... did you replace the motor completely?
Hi Ryano!
I have seen your kids car conversion project - very inspiring! I have by now two of those 930 Prestige Minimotors, which I have build up for my boys.
I have seen that you added an awesome PORSCHE taillight sticker. Would you share the graphic with me?
Happy to share anything I have learned about those cars, too. I modified them to also be operated via remote control and swapped for faster and more silent 12V motors.
