Thanks for the heads-up. As it happens I've got the predecessor of the Ultrac Vorti on the rears of my 997 - the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's ( now discontinued ). Very pleased with them - good grip and wear.

As I have the 19 9,5J ET 46 lobster rims on the back of the 996 (Porsche originally released this rim size for fitment to the 987 Boxster), I might give the Vorti's R's in 275/30 size a try. They should be a good rev/mile match with the 235/35 R19 fronts also so as to not put the C4's viscous coupling at risk.

Hi there and greetings from England in Covid Lockdown

I trust you guys are under similar conditions/restrictions?

Just wanted to say what a great photo of your 996 with lobsters - saw one a while back taken in the rain. Looks like a Navy jet about to take off from an aircraft carrier! Ive recently purchased a '99 C4 cabriolet and have been going through the trials and tribulations of calculating suitable f&r tyre combo's for my 19 inch lobster rims.

You don't know how lucky you are in that regard - selection is SO much more straight-forward/less critical for a RWD car compared to AWD!

I think that is one of the few benefits of lockdown - being able to work on the cars!

    All the best,

    Pete
