Glad the GTS is still bringing smiles.
Our Boxster GTS is at the dealer today for the big service - plugs, oil, brake flush, the whole 9 yards. Hopefully no other issues are discovered!

I have not had any AC condenser or radiator damage on any Porsche yet. My service advisor says it's relatively common due to their location. Seems like a bad design - they are close to the road where rocks and other debris could cause damage.

On most of my cars, I have added mesh grills to the front openings that should stop most big debris. And the GT cars come with mesh grills from the factory. I believe all models should come with the grills. Other than that, I have no idea. Maybe insurance will help some.

A quick note and question. First off, I'm still loving [your] Cayman GTS!

I'm going through another "1st time Porsche owner" issue and would appreciate some guidance. I was having an issue with my AC, and the dealer said that it's due to AC condensers (and associated other parts in the system) being damaged by road debris (repair cost $2,900). The car is kept immaculately clean (okay, maybe not "Dr. Bill" level, but pretty darned close!) so I'm struggling to understand a) how this happened, and b) if it happened under normal conditions, why it's not a design issue that Porsche is addressing.

Lots of folks in forums seem to just pay, then apply for coverage under auto insurance.

Any personal experience on your cars, and/or any guidance you can offer to a noob?
