Greetings from Malaysia. I have been reading about your 996 with 997 3.8 engine swap with much interest. I am planning to do the same thing after bore score on my 3.4 996.1 C4. I have tried to contact Duncan Motorsport but am awiting a reply. Am hoping any documentation you have would be extremely useful. I have listed everything down that you have mentioned : ECU (we will use a customised MOTEC), 997 harness, HVAC, Instrument cluster But I am kind of lacking details on specifics. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Many Many thanks indeed. I normally drive air cooled cars (have a 964) and also share some air cooled classics with my good freind Hwa. There is a video clip (
) - and I think it shows my yellow 996 (with GT3 aer kit). Many thanks for your help in advance.

    Sincerely, Tee

Yes, $3500 sounds about right. Keeping it also makes sense, and what a wonderful piece of wall art it makes! For me, since I'm just getting back into HPDE's, I need to get a few track days under my belt to feel how much I really need a wing. I'm in the black run group, so by default, I'll know pretty quickly how squirrelly she feels at speed. Be well! Jon

I hate technology even though I use it everyday. Sent this to myself instead of you the other day....

PS on Tacos... Did some searching on Rennlist during lunch... didn't see any tacos, but here's some of what I did see... 997 duck for $1400, $800 and $1700. A 996 GTRS wing for $4500. A RUF Rturbo carbon rear wing for $1400. 996 GT2 for $7500. GT3 for $3500. OY! Looking forward to hearing from you.

And then there's this thread from today, we'll see if the seller coughs up a price! https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...o-spoiler.html

I got your name from a post. You seem to know a lot about retro fits. I am considering putting a 991.1 GTS engine into my 996.1. Can you tell me what downfalls of this would be. I can get the engine with exhaust for 13K I don't know if I can get the ECU and wiring harness but it seems cheaper than a high end rebuild that will only net 300 wheel horsepower. If it only works for the track that would be more than fine.

    Hi,

Let me know if you have a rear deck in Black Metallic, and what kind of deal you were thinking.

I will post a picture as some of the paint is pealing off a little (just want to give full disclosure).

    Thanks!

Didn’t trade yet. If interested move fast. I’ll take 22.5 for it. Super mint, all new maintenance,
