    New Porsche owner as of 2013 ('99 996 C4) -acquired some used Champion RG5's, refinished them & installed some Recaro Pole position seats - took the ASP Division Championship for Sacramento Valley Region SCCA...I should have got into a 911 years ago.

    Was hoping that maybe you could share some information regarding the car as I'm interested in possibly purchasing but with a car like this would like to find out everything I can from the actual owner. Was hoping to find out about new engine if it was brand new or came from a donor car and also transmission and if IMS bearing issue was addressed. Just not wanting to make a mistake and end up with a money pit nightmare lol. Also is the roll bar easily removable if I wanted my 5 year old daughter to ride in the back?

    I'm looking to jump over from the Chevrolet LS crowd from a stroker motor high horse car and enjoy something with my kids (cars and coffee, cruise nights....). Thanks for any information you can provide and if you tell me to run away from it I'd appreciate the honesty.

    I was a Nissan/Datsun enthusiast for 20 years - 300ZXTT (700HP) and Datsun510 with SR20 turbo (track car). Then I got into a 996 C4...and I finally understood why Porsche enthusiasts are the way they are :-)
