Thanks for your input, Jeff. I don't know what direction to take and will continue to solicit some owners, that have been through the change. I don't want to make costly changes (Pss9, Wheels, etc.?) and not get to a result I'm looking for. Thanks again!

The car came with 19" Champion RG5s. I thought the wheels were too big for the car. They seemed to magnify every road imperfection. I switched to the OEM 18s and have been very happy with them ever since. My car also has the M030 suspension, so the ride has always been a bit stiff. I can't say the ride improved all that much when I switched from 19s to 18s. But I do think the car handles better with 18s. The steering seems smoother and the car was noticable a bit quicker. It was as though the car was fitted with the right pair of shoes. Might just be that the 18" wheels seem to be more appropriately sized for my NA 996.

I have bought several wheels for my car. I believe the SSRs I have on now are the 5th set of wheels in 3 years. The DPEs are by far the best 18" I've had, but I just don't care for the traditional mesh look, so I switched to the SSRs. I now have Continentials on the car and the ride is like butter. I'll never go back to Pirellis.

    Best of luck,

Hi, I was reading the thread, on your wheels and you mentioned going from the 19" Champions back to a 18" wheel/tire. If you don't mind me asking,...I have 19" RGB5's on my C4s and I find the ride quality to be horrid. I've never had 18" or ridden in a C4S with 18", so I don't a reference point. Also, since I have the M030 (turbo) suspension, it may be that...versus the 19" tires. Anyway, did you find a big difference in ride quality, when you switched to 18"? If not, I may look at suspension changes before wheel/tires. I do like the look of my Champions....they don't seem too big, but the widebody may help offset the size. Also, I have Michelin PS2's, so it's not just a tire issue.
Thanks in advance, for any insight!

    Dana
