Hey I read your posts regarding the 987 boxter spyder. I have two cars to choose from. This and the 981 spyder.
I owned a 991.2 which was a very good car but lacked the drama and feedback i was looking for after having driven the 987 boxter spyder i was hooked.
My question is whether you have drive the 981 Spyder and how they compare. If the steering is spongy then i dont think i will enjoy it. Do you know if they lack feel ?
Also wondering regarding the roof - its a pain but part of the personality of the car i guess ?
Your thoughts would be much appreciated. One is twice the price of the other but that is actually not my main consideration.

You had an engine noise in Nov 2014 and you had the right side chain tensioner replaced. Your car is a 996 GT3 right?

Did that fix the problem?

These have been refurbished and are beautiful. I've done some checking and find new ones in the $12-$13K range, and others that need refurb in the $8K range. I will part with mine for $8,800 plus shipping. Let me know. I would need funds wired and cleared into my account prior to shipment. No Paypal due to fees etc. Let me know if interested. New Jersey, I have a line on two sets in europe, never refurbished solid wheels right at the 8k mark. Are you in the states? Obviously this would be easier and preferable for me to work with you.
