Sorry, just saw your thread that addressed my question:

"I have the OEM 997 Short Shifter and it was decent but still had slop and play.
Ordered the Function First Shift Right solution and installed it myself.
HUGE upgrade in feel and response but still smooth.
Then I installed the Function First Cable Ends and I have to say it transformed the drive 100% now.
ALL the slop is gone and shifts are totally precise and short.
    But still easy to drive.
I stuck with my original cables since I am a 997.2 an not as concerned about them snapping."

So, did your install require any "fine tuning" after putting everything back together- or was it "one and done"?
I am looking for the same butter smooth engagement of OEM 997.2 box but remove as much slop as possible without going full metal on metal like the Numeric. The OEM SSK box should reduce some throw as well, right?
    Thanks!

    Yo, Bruno!
I am about to install an OEM SSK with FF SRK installed(which was put in by the FF company owner himself) in my 997 GTS.
Did you have any problems doing your install?
If you had a shop do it, did they charge a couple hours of labor, or more?
Did it require any tweaking after the install?
    Thanks for any info/advice.

Hi. Love your 911. this is exactly the colour combo and options I'm looking for! and looks like you're fairly close in Richmond Hill. I'm in King City. Looking at possibly picking up a 997.1 911 in sometime in the next 6 months or so. Where did you find yours?

    Regards
