The Burmester system in Porsche's isn't that great anyhow. I wouldn't recommend getting it, even if it was offered. I have the Bose system in my car and for a GT car it is good enough. If you want a really good sound
system, you would have to do an aftermarket system like Musicar. Retrofitting the Burmester system would be a waste of money imo. I have a custom sound system in my daily driver, but for the GT3 it is a bit pointless
since the car is so loud anyways. Hope that helps.
I would not recommend trying to retrofit the Burmester sound package. You are better off putting in an aftermarket system. In fact there is someone on the forum that has put together a system with an amp and processor built in. Do a search for it.
After reading your posts I wanted to reach out to you for input. I am looking to upgrade the sound system in my .2 GT3. Porsche denied every request I made to put a Burmester system in the car.
"In regards to your request for the Burmester® High-End Surround System in the GT3, our Exclusive Manufaktur department is unable to accommodate any requests pertaining to electrical equipment in a significant way. In addition, the Burmester® system is not inline with our GT Motorsport product strategy at the current moment. Because the GT3 utilizes a bespoke wiring harness, the addition of the sound system is not a simple one."
Do you know if it’s possible to retrofit a Burmester in the .2 GT3? Also, do you recommend Burmester or should I go with smtg else? Appreciate your assistance.
