    Yes, the CD changer works with 996's and I believe a few 997's. I don't know if the cable between radio to the trunk is already installed on cars without the CD changer. I've never owned another Porsche. If you haven't already, you might want to search the forums for info on this. Thanks for your interest.

    I have a 1999 996 w/o changer. Will this work? Is the cable already installed between the radio to the hood? Please advise, 562-889-1197
