Description:

This 1987 Porsche 942S was sold new at Norris-Schmid Imports of Midland, Michigan, and later spent time in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before I purchased it in December 2022. It has the 2.5-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed transaxle and is finished in Guards Red over black leatherette and cloth upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ replica Fuchs-style wheels. The original “phone dial” wheels are included in the sale.

The head gasket, thermostat, water pump, engine mounts, and timing belt were changed in 2018, and the ignition distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, and battery were replaced in 2022. A Web Cam 05-122 camshaft was installed in 2021 when the camshaft seals were also replaced. Stock cam is included with the sale.

Fresh oil with W 719/22 Mann filter and a new oil sending unit, which was faulty and triggering the oil pressure light. Manufacturer’s literature, monroney, stock steering wheel, and shift boot are also included in the sale. DM for many more pictures.
