Long-time Rennlist readers know the appeal of the Porsche 911 Turbo (996) and the durability of the Mezger engine. This is a well-maintained, enthusiast-owned example that has had the important preventative work completed and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

I’ve owned the car for 7 years and driven roughly 14k miles during that time. It has never been a garage queen but rather a properly maintained driver that I kept mechanically sorted so it could be enjoyed anytime.

Finished in Arctic Silver over Graphite Grey, the car is equipped with the Tiptronic transmission, which makes the car extremely usable in traffic while still delivering the massive torque these cars are known for.

The ECU has been tuned by Kevin at Ultimate Motorwerks (UMW) specifically to take advantage of the Tiptronic’s torque characteristics. The result is a very strong and smooth power delivery that suits the car extremely well.

The car also has a SpeedTech exhaust, which sounds fantastic while still being very livable. The original factory exhaust is included with the sale.

The suspension has been upgraded with H&R lowering springs paired with Bilstein B8 shocks, which improves stance and handling while maintaining excellent street drivability.

The car is riding on recent Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.

Condition

Overall the car presents very well and is mechanically strong.

Exterior and interior are in very good condition for the mileage. As expected for a 24-year-old driver there are minor cosmetic imperfections, but nothing that detracts from the car.

Mechanically the car needs nothing and pulls very strong.

Many Turbos at this mileage still need the major work addressed. This example has already had extensive preventative maintenance completed, making it a great option for someone who wants a properly sorted driver rather than a project.
