I jumped the gun and bought a steering wheel cover for a car I thought I was buying, but ended up with a 987.2 with a different style steering wheel. So I have this cover that won't fit and is non-returnable. Ordered from Texas Custom Interior. Really nice materials (genuine leather and Alcantara), but be warned that these require a pretty detail oriented person to install cleanly.
I've always been a huge fan of leather / suede combo wheels because you get the softness and premium feel of the suede on top and bottom, but the leather sides in the high contact area so it doesn't require frequent cleaning. I've had multiple cars with this style of setup and am always very happy with it.
I think it should fit early 997.1 and 987.1 manual cars, but I'm not 100% sure when all the steering wheel designs changed. Photo #4 that shows the style of wheel it was made for.
Top and bottom are black Alcantara
Sides are perforated leather (high contact area - less frequent cleaning)
Dark grey stitching
Dark grey (basically looks black) Alcantara stripe at the top.
Includes the thread and all installation components.
I paid 128 for this setup, but I'm willing to sell for $100 OBO shipped in the US. I can ship it internationally, but let's talk to get a shipping quote first.
