Selling a non-running 2005 997 Carrera S Cab with 81k miles. It is a well optioned car that unfortunately has suffered from excessive bore scoring. There is oil dampness on two of the 6 exhaust manifold runners indicating excessive oil blow-by.
The car will turn over and try to start but it ultimately does not fire. A PASM error faults on the dash during that time. The car bares a clean and clear PA title with no accidents or signs of paint work. The last time it was running fully was 2/2025 and had an oil change at that time.

By the time you put a reasonable salvage motor in this and account for labor it's at full price for what it's worth in running condition, yet since it's not drivable there's no real good way to be sure what else might be wrong. That's quite a gamble.
Sounds like the bore scoring blew up the engine. The problem is that it is nearly impossible to find a replacement 3.8 engine for the S. If this engine is able to be rebuilt (and thats a big if) it would be worth saving. This looks like a really cool project, but not at this price. I wish you luck.
