Description:
Selling my 2016 Cayman GT4 in GT Silver with 9,182 miles. I am the original owner and I purchased the car new in 2016. Suntek PPF has covered the full front of the car, roof, rockers, intake scoops, rear wheel arches and behind the rear wheels since new, and paint underneath is in perfect condition, but the PPF has few small nicks in various places. Clean title in hand and the car has no liens on it.
The car has never been in any accidents or had any off-track excursions of any kind, and has been very reliable. The transmission was replaced by Porsche under warranty in 2018 after 3rd gear failed. The car has the following modifications and I have provided the cost of each mod below just for informational purposes (these prices do not include labor):
- Essex Racing competition brake kits (front and rear) ($12,898)
- Aasco lightweight flywheel and Sachs clutch $2,400
- 911 Carrera heat shields for coil packs $100
- 2 sets of Ferodo spare brake pads (DS3.12 and DS1.11) (~$2000)
- 1 set of Ferodo DS 2500 brake pades ($800)
- Suntek clear film (full front, rockers, roof, behind rear arches) ($2,000)
- 1 set R101 Lightweight w/ Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires ($12,000)
- 1 set RC100 w/ Michelin PS4S N0 spec tires ($7,500)
- Clear front turn indicators $125
- Tarret Engineering adjustable castor pucks ($125)
- Tarret Engineering adjustable tie rods ($490)
- Tarret Engineering adjustable rear toe links ($570)
- Tarret Enginneering eccentric lockout plates ($125)
- DSC V2 suspension controller ($1,390)
- VBOX HD2 (w/ two cameras + remote) (4,000)
- Dundon Motorsports race headers ($5,500)
- Dundon Motorsports pro tune ($500)
- Cobb access port ($695)
- Cantrell Motorsports roll bar ($2,900)
- Cantrell Motorsports sub-harness bars ($450)
- Schroth GT3 6-point harnesses ($1,200)
- Ed guard seat bolster protectors ($599)
- Ed guard headrest protectors ($250)
- Rennline fire extinguisher mount bracket ($135)
- Rennline quick release fire extinguisher holder ($275)
- Halotron fire extinguisher ($125)
- Rennline tie down points (front and rear) ($300)
- Tequipment indoor cover ($290)
The OEM brakes and headers will be included with the car, but not the OEM wheels, which I sold previously. The OEM brakes (calipers, rotors and pads) have less than 1,000 miles on them and the OEM headers have about 2,000 miles on them. Included with the car will be 3 sets of brake pads: 1 set of Ferodo DS 2500 street pads (almost new condition); 1 set of Ferodo DS 1.11 pads (good condition with some track use); 1 set of Ferodo DS 3.12 pads (good condition with some track use). AP rotors are in good condition, but do have several track weekends on them. The photos of the car with the R101LW wheels were taken yesterday (April 19, 2025). TPMS sensors on the R101LWs were just replaced in March 2025 with new units and valve stems.
The car will be sold with 3 options with regard to the two wheel sets shown in the photos. Both sets are forged HRE motorsport wheels, but the R101LW is more expensive and is HRE's lightest wheel. If the buyer elects the R101LW wheel set instead of the RC100 set, the price will be increased by $2,000 above the listed asking price for the car, or I will sell the car with both wheel sets/tires for $3,000 above the price listed. A set of new R101LW wheels is over $10,000 last time I checked (without tires). The R101LW set includes a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that have one HPDE weekend on them (8 heat cycles). The RC100 set has Michelin PS4S tires on them.
The car has split its time between track and street use, so it probably does have some overrevs, although I have not done an overrev report, so I don't know which ranges. Track use has been limited to PCA HPDE events. Inspections are welcome at buyer's expense.
The VBOX HD2 (with 2 cameras) is hardwired and the control unit is mounted behind the driver's seat in a very neat way with a custom aluminum mounting plate. All wiring is hidden behind the carpeting and interior trim pieces. The system is loaded with a custom GT4 scene I purchased from Peter Krause. It also has a USB card reader setup and remote fob. The system works very well and is very easy to use.
The paint did suffer one small stone chip on the front fender that was professionally refinished (the chip was very small, but I am a perfectionist). You cannot tell which fender had the chip and 30 days after the repair the fender was recovered with PPF, so the paint underneath is perfect, but I do have photos of the chip and the repair work.
The interior of the car is excellent, with no discernible wear on the race-tex or leather and no sun fading anywhere. The seats have had Ed Guard bolster covers and headrest covers on them since the car was almost new (and before any track use), so they have no wear on them. I keep the car very clean at all times.
Please PM me with questions.
Price is $97,500 and the car is in Washington, DC.
