For sale are a set of Porsche Carrera GT style fixed back carbon bucket seats (NOT OE/OEM). These are brand new. Black PU leather and black stitching. They are unbranded, and came from either China or Taiwan I believe. I bought these with the intention of reupholstering them for my E46 M3 project. Would be awesome in a car, or in a racing sim. However, they do run quite narrow. They include sliders that can be configured to your desired height/tilt adjustable via allen bolts on the side of the seat. Price is per pair (2) seats. No trades. Cash only. Not willing to sell individually. Would really prefer local pickup.
Measurements as follows: Height is about 39in, seat bottom to back is about 19.7in, 18.9in wide at front, shoulder bolsters are also 19.7in apart, inside width at lower base is 15.25in, inside width at back where the seat starts to go up is 14.17ish in, and the inside width at the middle of the backrest is 13.78in
FWIW, I had what I am assuming is the same set of 996 Euro bucket replica seats. They arrived from a supplied that goes by PLM or private label manufacturing. Honestly, the quality was excellent for the money and I had them for multiple years without issue.
There use to be a guy in Canada who made these as well as 996gt3 replica seats, RoTec. Stuff was good quality and I see seats are still floating around from 2010 or so.
Thought I'd post some pictures of the install of two I bought from Grumpy Cat.
Inserts were painted black.
Regarding safety, I'm sure these are not up to FIA standards, but I knew that when I bought them. Yes, it's a risk. So is not having air bags on the road, or a 5 point harness, hans device, and roll cage on the track. We all have to decide for ourselves...
