Description
THIS… is a 996.2 911 Carrera Coupe with a manual transmission and all important maintenance completed that’s now looking for a new home. Everything you’ll read on the blogs has been addressed – IMS bearing, rear main seal (RMS), air-oil separator (AOS), coolant expansion tank, and more. These items were preventative in nature even though nothing signaled they needed to be done, and now it’s ready for a new owner to enjoy with peace of mind.
This has never been a daily driver under my ownership, always garage kept, and stored in a temperature-controlled garage in the off season. The clean undercarriage and zero rust tells me prior owners treated it similarly. I bought it because it’s a very very clean, story-free example of a driver’s 911, and I’m selling because I simply don’t drive it enough.
The seller I bought it from purchased it from a dealer who took it in on trade, so the maintenance history that I have starts under his ownership. The gentleman owns an insurance company and was certainly an enthusiast who kept detailed records and performed important maintenance, including replacing the IMS bearing in 2016. I bought it in 2021 and replaced the IMS again, along with the other notable maintenance mentioned. I have the CarFax report from when I bought it, as well as detailed maintenance records and receipts for everything under my ownership that will be provided to the new buyer.
In an effort to provide full transparency, I listed the flaws I’m aware of. The car is mechanically perfect with the maintenance I’ve done and is beautiful. But as a picky buyer myself, I’d want to know about the minor cosmetic flaws I noted.
Car is located in Deerfield, IL. I’m happy to help out-of-state buyers with a PPI and shipping.
also, I may have missed this, but is there any rust?
