Description:

I’m selling my 2015 Cayman S (981) track car!  $99,000.  I’m too busy with family and work responsibilities to spend time with it, plus I live in Virginia and it’s at New Jersey Motorsports Park.  Highlights:  VIN:  WP0AB2A89EK190312 (VIN suggests it might be a 2014, but I was told by Monticello it’s a 2015).  I’m the second owner.  I purchased it from a family at Monticello Motor Club in NY in November 2021 (https://www.monticellomotorclub.com/), has been garaged in heated garage at TK Autosports outside NJMP since then, and maintained by TJ Kenny there.  It’s available for inspection at TJ Kenny’s shop.  He garages and maintains dozens of track cars, including many for NJMP Driver’s Club members.  http://www.tkautosports.com/.  13,123 miles.  I’ve driven it during about 12 track days, prior owner drove it just a few track days.  Track modifications by John Weisberg of Berg Racing (https://www.bergracing.com/) and by DeMan Motorsport (https://demanmotorsport.com/).  Features:

·       3.8L engine swap from a 911 Carrera S, estimated 415 hp

·       full cage

·       racing seats and harnesses

·       AIM dash (customizable) and bullet cam with video recording and data/video integration (see YouTube videos below)

·       original dash still in place behind AIM (e.g. for fuel level)

·       two containment halo seats (on slider for driver, fixed for passenger)

·       hardwired for intercom/radio/transponder/helmet plug-in

·       Cool Box in frunk with hose to connect to shirt

·       dual-adjustable MCS shocks and swaybars

·       stainless steel brake lines

·       seven-speed PDK with GTS programming

·       performance headers and air filters

·       911 S six-piston front calipers

·       Padgid RS brake pads

·       Girodisk front two-piece rotors

·       Castrol SRF DOT 4+ racing brake fluid

·       Mobil1 5W40 oil

·       K&N high flow oil filter

·       Forgeline five-lug wheels (19x9 front and 19x10.5 rear)

·       racing exhaust (not on car)

·       window net and interior net

·       fire suppression system

·       kill switch

·       rear wing by Getty and aluminum uprights by Deman

·       front bolt-in splitter by TWL

·       alcantara steering wheel

·       GT4 car cover

·       deleted AC HVAC radio

·       removed catalytic converter and secondary air injection

·       ECU modifications

·       estimated 2800 pounds without driver

·       comes with 12 tires:  Pirelli slicks (unused), Hoosier slicks (one or two track days), Pirelli rain tires (one or two track days), Number 85 decals from Deman.

Car is set up to be well-balanced and a good track car, not super aggressive.  I have service records from TK Autosports and Monticello.

Beautiful car, very safe and fast, awesome engine sounds, very precise and planted on track.  Up to 1.6 Gs in the corners, according to the AIM data.  Here’s a video of me on Thunderbolt at NJMP, passing lots of cars and with at least one 1:32 lap time.

.  Here’s me at Lightning.
.  The person I’m getting a thumbs-up from at the beginning of the video is my future wife, who rode with me!  It’s so fast that I have to lift in most corners, unlike my E36 track car before it.

Selling it for $99,000.  The specs are comparable to a GT4 Clubsport, just not factory-built.  Higher-spec than a GT4, including the full cage, fire suppression system, shocks, AIM system, etc.  Monticello told me the total build invoice for this car, MSRP and modifications, would have been like $140k to $150k at the time, and that Deman sold track cars like this for $130k.  718 Cayman GT4 RS starts at $160,700.  https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/7...cayman-gt4-rs/.  Compare to this 2016 GT4 Clubsport for $130k (https://www.isringhausenmotorsports....t4-clubsport-1), this Cayman S track car for $115k (https://www.racingjunk.com/gts-chall...=4&from=search), and this 2020 Cayman GT4 CS for $180k (https://www.racingjunk.com/sports-ra...18&from=search).

Further detail:

·       Monticello estimated 415 hp with the modifications (including race exhaust, not on the car).

·       Purchased in November 2021 with 11,000 miles, so about 2,000 track miles since then.

·       103 decibels without race exhaust

·       Seven-speed PDK, good gearing.  I drove it in auto with sport mode rather than using the paddles—auto works just as well as the paddles.

·       Takes 93 octane, could be tuned to 1000.

·       7600 rpm redline.

·       Modifications by Berg and Deman for members of Monticello Motor Club (a family).  Mother and son used it for a few track days there in 2019 and 2021 (none in 2020) before I purchased in November 2021.  Driven in one club race at Monticello where it came in second in a field including 911 Cup cars, a Ferrari 458 Challenge, etc.  They sold it because the son was switching to Miata racing.

·       Received a gold-level detailing from Monticello before my purchase, including Gtechniq C2V3 ceramic coating (touch up paint chips and scratches, claybar on the entire car, remove surface contaminants, iron remover, remove and replace ceramic coating to protect against scratches and UV and dust and insects).

·       Comes with race exhaust, which I haven’t used.

·       Torn rear axle boots were replaced by Monticello in 2021 after inspection.

·       I have used Hoosier slicks on it, gone through a few sets.  Did not use the Pirelli rain tires much and didn’t use the Pirelli slicks (I was told more aggressive than Hoosiers).

·       TK Autosports inspected it before and after each track day, replaced fluids twice and did nut-and-bolt checks twice a year.

·       Has a couple cosmetic issues, there when I purchased from Monticello:  split in the front fascia which is taped over, scratch on roof from a helmet, small dent over right rear wheel arch, chips in clear coat.  Recently it got two small rock chips in the windshield, and TK Autosports damaged the hood while testing—will replace.

·       I used it in about half a dozen track days, all at NJMP except one day at VIR when I had it professionally transported in a closed trailer.

·       AIM bullet cam records to a SIM card inserted in a recorder in the trunk.  It overlays the video and data, so just remove the SIM card and download the videos to your laptop.  Can be used with AIM racing software (I didn’t do so).

·       Repair records for Monticello and TK Autosports.  While I’ve owned it we replaced tires, brake pads, rotors, fluids.  Also fixed loose front left brake caliper, right rear wheel bearings, and spark plugs.

Contact me, David Burnett, at ddyerburnett@gmail.com or 646-546-9304, or contact TJ Kenny at http://www.tkautosports.com/ to see it in person.  Serious buyers only and not interested in a trade.
