@65k miles

@64k miles

These are all things that expired at around the right mileage, so this car should be good maintenance-wise for a long time. The previous owner also assured me that the clutch was replaced between 40k and 50k, but I don't have the records for it. I do have records for the work done above.
From the factory it came with bi-Xenon headlights, self-dimming mirrors, automatic wipers and power & memory seats. I added a Sony CarPlay & Android Auto head unit and a backup camera, installed professionally. Compared to a modern car it lacks nothing, but has that analog sound and zing.
I bought the car from an automotive writer and would have kept it for at least 5 more years, but a speed yellow Boxster unexpectedly came along, and I already have a red Miata so decided to mix the colors up a bit.
Shoot me an offer! Just smogged and I have the title, so it's ready to go. Happy to send more photos and scans of maintenance records upon request.

Hi there, 06-08 .1 cars have the larger, more robust IMS bearing that’s not replaceable (without engine disassembly) but have a very low failure rate. I’d consider the IMS bearing to be a non-issue.
As for the other common issues, RMS doesn’t get talked about much with 987.1s and my car doesn’t leak anything, so nothing to worry there. The other common failing part, AOS (air-oil separator), has been replaced under my ownership. The base engines (2.7s) do not suffer from bore scoring. The car is mechanically pretty robust.
You can read more about the IMS bearing here.
