997.1 GT2 / GT3 / GT3 RS PCCB rotors. Parts numbers as follows:
997.351.031.93 Left Front; measured at 34.04
997.351.032.93 Right Front; measured at 34.10
997.352.031.00 Left Rear; measured at 28.07
997.352.032.00 Right Rear; measured at 28.06
History:
These rotors came off my 2008 997.1 GT2 at 43,000 miles. They were replaced with Surface Transforms rotors because I wanted rotors that were PCCB but that could also be tracked without fear of damaging. The OEM rotors are known to be excellent on the street but not so great for serious track duty.
Based on the full service history that came with the car as well as hands on inspections by both Sharkwerks and Alekshop here in the Bay Area, it is my belief the car has never been tracked and was a mildly driven street car it’s whole life. The one track day I did on the car was on Surface Transforms rotors. The OEM rotors came off the car and have been in the Surface Transforms padded shipping boxes in my garage ever since.
Condition:
When I decided to sell these rotors, I evaluated them on the three known/agreed upon criteria for this generation of rotor so I could fairly represent them to potential buyers. The criteria:
Visual Inspection:
There are zero cracks, chips of surface irregularities on any of the rotors. They look “as-new” based on my assessment as well as the opinions of other RL’s in the 997 GT forum. For the fronts, I could not even see the wear circles until they were pointed out to me. They are extremely faint. On the rears, they are slightly more visible and I have taken close ups of each of them in the pictures below. Based on their visibility, I believe all 4 rotors are in excellent condition with tons of life left in them.
Thickness Measurement:
I took all 4 rotors to Porsche San Francisco and asked Gunter to have his techs measure them. The thicknesses he gave me are posted above. Min thickness posted on the rotors are 33.7mm front and 27.7mm rear.
Weight Measurement:
Ok, here’s the head scratcher. I weighed all four rotors on 2 different scales and every single rotor came in 15-30g HEAVIER than the weight printed on the hats. One suggestion is that the rings were replaced at some point in their life span. Given that they look matched to the hats still, I’m not sure what this means. I am including this for potential buyers in the spirit of full transparency.
Seller Representation:
I did my best based on available information to assess their condition. I reached out to a few regulars on the 997 GT board who are more knowledgeable than I am and they are of the opinion that these are in excellent condition with lots of wear remaining. Based on the information provided above, I would concur with this. At the end of the day though, it is up to the buyer to decide for themselves their condition. I am happy to facilitate inspection for any serious buyers.
Price:
I went back through the RL and Ebay classifieds to try and find comps for pricing and there were not a lot in similar condition. There were many in worse condition in the 7-11k range. I also looked at cost of new OEM and they are roughly $33K + tax. (Suncoast link: https://www.suncoastparts.com/category/997GT3PCCB.html) With that in mind, I am pricing these at $11,000+ shipping. Yes, I understand you can buy aftermarket for a few thousand more but they are not OEM. If you’re looking to restore a GT2/GT3 to factory, this is what you’re looking for. If you just don’t want to mess with aftermarket, this is what you’ll want. As time goes on, there will be fewer and fewer of these in this condition available and pricing will only go up as driver cars get converted back to original. My reference point is 997 buckets. I paid $4K for a set in 2012. Similar set just sold for $23K on BaT. Mind you, Porsche stopped making them which definitely impacted pricing.
As a bonus, I will throw in a set of OEM pads that came off the car at the same time. Fronts have 7.5-8.5mm to backing plate; rears have 10.5mm to backing plate.
For anyone seriously interested, I’m happy to discuss inspection, pricing etc. If you don’t like what I’m selling or my pricing, please keep your comments to yourself. I’m happy to just sit on them for another 5 years and try again or just keep them. FWIW, I’m in the SF Bay Area and travel back/forth to LA somewhat regularly.
As far as my reputation as a seller on RL, I’ve sold several cars here, tons of parts and have been a regular contributor to the 997 GT forums since 2011. There are many regulars here that know me and can vouch for my integrity as a seller.
Thanks for reading.

I'd say relax. if the OP tries to sell to them, the flags are usually pretty easy to spot -- sketchy methods of payment, a "friend who can pick it up next week", etc.
