I built the engine myself after attending Jake's engine class near Atlanta. I have built 4 engines.
My current Porsche is a 2006 997 with a 4.0. Love it.
2 out of 4, all 2006's, had bore scoring. They were both 3.6's. The first car/engine did not have any issues. I just wanted to find out what was inside the engine. That is when I decided to go to Jake's class.
The car that I am keeping is a 2006 C2S that arrived with 2 broken connecting rods. The entire long block was throw away. I built a 4.0 out of parts that I had.
I have almost all parts to do one more engine. I'm ready to sell them all as I am now doing a complete restoration on a 1984 targa. Life is good.

FYI, this car is still Active in the marketplace -- Rennlist tells me that there's a big ol' button saying "Mark As Sold" that the you can click to prevent it from appearing in buyers' search results.
Speaking of which... is your 2006 Porsche 997 C4 Cabriolet still available?
