Description:
Howdy,
For sale is my 2004 996.2 GT3 in speed yellow. This car has a color matched speed yellow center console, hard back sport seats in speed yellow, and yellow seatbelts. The car also has a light carbon fiber package with zero cracks- shifter ****, parking brake, and door sill. It is a very yellow and very intense drivers car. Modifications include:
Slotted brake rotors
Hawk Brake Pads
Fabspeed X pipe Exhaust - stock exhaust included
KW Coilovers - stock coilovers included
Rennline Pedal Kit
The front bumper has had the license plate holes filled and resprayed to match. A Porsche Tequipment roll cage has also been added.
Recent service includes oil (Motul), filter, and plugs. Clutch was replaced under previous ownership, about 7000 miles ago.
I've owned the car for 2 years and under my ownership replaced the battery (Optima red top) and added new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I'm selling as my wife and I are expecting baby #2 in early September and I won't be able to take this car out for spirited drives once the baby comes.
This car is really really really intense. I own a 997S launch edition, and m3 coupe and neither comes close to this car in terms of intensity and performance. My wife refuses to get into the car while pregnant.
Buy this car only if you are: 1. A good driver. 2. looking for something that provides a pure driving experience. 3. Need to have a smile every time you get in a car. 4. Have multiple other cars that you can use for kids, errands, groceries etc. 5. Have an affinity for analog and mechanical instruments.
The factory Speed Yellow car trades at a premium, especially over the silver and black cars. All of these 996.2 GT3 models came with a 6 speed manual and the famous "Mezger" flat 6 engine.
No accidents, clean Carfax, Texas title in hand. I am not looking for trades and I do not need help selling the car. The car has been owned by responsible enthusiast locally for 13 years prior to my ownership. The car is not in perfect "show car" condtion, there are some small stone marks on the side view mirrors and a few on the roof line above the windshield,(images included) but the car is very very clean and well maintained.
I have not tracked the car under my ownership. The previous owner of 13 years did autocross the car, but it was his daily driver as well. I have paint gauge report from when I purchased the car originally and all the paint gauge measures on panels showed no previous paint work.
I wanted to fill the front bumper plate holes and address bumper stone chips so I had paint work performed. To do this paintwork correctly I had the old PPF removed and had the paint blended into hood and front panels by a highly rated shop to an exact match. I also resprayed the rear bumperettes and performed typical maintenance. The car has been driven a bit less than 3000 miles under my ownership under 2 years.
The PPI includes paint gauges of the entire car which shows typical factory paint levels between 4.5 and 3.8 from when I purchased.
Under my ownership, I have installed:
- New Optima Battery
- New Michelin P4S tires
- Fabspeed X pipe exhaust
- Air and Oil filter
- Motul Oil change
- Spark Plugs
- Drive belt
- Hawk HPS brake Pads
The factory coolant lines are original and have not been pinned. There has been no dry ice cleaning of the underbody or engine. There are no oil leaks, or coolant leaks. The PPI notes some weeping from the axle shaft seals, with images attacked. This car is not a concourse show car, but the interior and exterior are very clean and correct without cracks in the interior carbon fiber trim.
It is a great driver's condition GT3 car. More images to come.
