Damn.. I wish this was still at Rick's shop. Could've hopped over the bridge and picked it up directly from him...

may i ask how much the deman conversion cost?...just curious as an aspiring deman customer (someday, on a spyder)...

gotta believe bringatrailer would maximize your exit on such a unique car -- highly recommended...

in any case, sorry about the forced sale...good luck!

Quote: @Rick DeMan The exhaust on this car is headers and catless exhaust? Would one be able to revert it back to stock headers/exhaust and pass or what is your recommendation on what needs to be done?
They’re checking the ecu for tunes now when they scan the car for inspection (at least supposed to, you might find someone not checking too hard), so you have to put factory tune back on before inspection then drive around for a bit to clear the ecu. The 4.5 probably won’t run great with a factory tune, may even be dangerous considering the motor requires high octane or booster, so I’d be surprised if Rick would advise you to do this. Your options are a) find a shady inspector that accepts bribes or a lazy one who doesn’t check, b) register it in Montana like all the entitled ******** with super cars who think they’re too rich to bother paying tax, c) register in a CA county that doesn’t require inspection (mostly the ones out in the big valley, lower population areas). There may be other options but that’s what I can come up with for you.
