Hello all. Up for sale is my 2004 Porsche 996 911 Turbo Cabriolet 6spd with the X50 package.
This 996 is finished in Seal Grey with Graphite Grey full leather, Carbon Fiber trim and Graphite Grey top. The car currently has 83,900 miles on the odometer. Further options include:
- Turbo Power Kit - X50
- Leather dashboard package - 982
- Leather vents in Seal Grey - Z0997
- Heated Seats - 342
- Deleted model designation - 498
- Parking assist system - 635
- Exterior color-matched gauges - X45
- Carbon fiber / Leather steering wheel - E77, Y05, XPD
I purchased this Turbo Cabriolet in March of 2021, with 64,000 miles, from a private party owner who purchased it on Bring A Trailer in early 2020. During my two years and 20,000 miles of ownership, I have enjoyed using this 996 as my fair weather daily driver, as well as my road tripper - having driven it 10,000+ miles throughout 2022, on trips from Chicago to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta. The car has performed faultlessly on all of these and I would not hesitate to hop in and drive it anywhere, any time.
Given the extensive long-haul drives this 996 has been on, I have modified and maintained this car to the highest standard. Recent and notable servicing work includes - but is not limited to:
- Replacement K24 (X50) turbochargers
- Fresh set of pads/rotors all around (Slotted rotors up front)
- Recent oil change (oil services done every 4,000-5,000 miles under my ownership with Driven DT40 5W40)
- New spark plugs
- New fuel pump
All major services were performed within the last 12,000 miles.
Modifications to this 996 include:
- Aftermarket 2.5" Speedtech catless x-pipe exhaust. Original exhaust with catalytic converters included with purchase
- GIAC tune with raised rev limiter - installed in 2011 by the previous long-term owner
- Upgraded Sachs clutch - added for longevity with the GIAC tune
- Upgraded PCCM+ with CarPlay and Porsche navigation SD card
- Wired radar detector mount to the rearview mirror
- Hollow-spoke turbo twist wheels (as seen in the listing photos)
I am reluctant to let this 996 go as it was a childhood dream car of mine, and I hunted for an X50 pack cabriolet for well over a year before buying this example. While the mileage is not low, I believe this to be one of the best-loved and maintained 996s in this price range currently available on the market. I am only selling this 996 due to finally being allocated a slot for a 992 Carrera T, and with limited parking space, I must sell this to make room.
Included with the sale are two sets of wheels in addition to the ones currently installed on the car - chrome hollow-spoke turbo twist wheels, and later model winter wheels. The car currently sits on Continental ECS tires purchased in 2021 showing ~18,000 miles of use, with both extra sets of wheels in 7+ year-old tires. Additionally included are the original navigation system and 6-CD changer.
Commensurate with extensive highway use, the car has known cosmetic flaws:
- Chips on the front bumper (the bumper is PPF'd and chips have not pierced the clearcoat)
- Chip in the windshield
- Rash on driver's side wheels
- Chip on the spoiler and driver's side taillight
- Slight wrinkle on the driver's side soft top; does not leak water and is a cosmetic-only concern
I am asking $58,000 OBO. I am looking for expediency in the process and ability to take the car + wheels and parts at once - and will negotiate on those factors. Would love for this car to go on to a fellow enthusiast. A Data Room with additional photos, service records, Carfax, DME report and build sheet is available upon request.
Thank you!
