Hi there,
I am selling my beloved SPB. Below is a description of the car. She is truly great.
The car is located in Northern California at BlackSheep shop in Fairfield.
Please PM me if you have any question or chat by phone.
Overview:
This is an 1999 SPB that was bought as a new build from ValiMotorsport in Oct 2019 for $43,000. I have the bill of sale. The car has always been kept indoor and prepped, serviced and upgraded by two of the best shops in California: BRRacing and BlackSheepRacing. Only professional mechanics have worked on the car.
The car has NEVER seen any contact with anything, not even a little dent. I used it for SCCA racing school, different Des and a few PCA races. Yes, I have been lucky…
The car has the potential to win PCA club racing and was set up and tested properly with the help of coaches Greg Liefooghe (IMSA Pro) and later with my friend Aaron Jeansonne (Pro MX-5 cup driver and winner of the 2020 Mazda MX-5 shootout fellowship). Aaron had never driven any SPB in his life and at the last PCA race I did at Laguna Secca, I had him test the car in DE (red group) to help fine tune the setup and put a reference lap for data overlay for coaching purposes. Aaaron had a couple of clean laps in DE and was able to get the best time of the weekend among ALL SPB racers, quali and races included. (video and data to prove it). The car could be even a bit faster by losing some weight as she was 75 lbs above (I am 175lbs). I just didn’t want to take over this project. So yes, the car can win.
The car has been upgraded with no cost sparing in mind with a focus on driver development, performance and safety. The car is equipped with (2) AiM Smarty Cams with brake and throttle sensor and the amazing Racetech seat 4129, not the 4119, an $3,800 upgrade for ultimate safety.
Reason for the sale:
I have an SMT as well and have raced both cars in SCCA and PCA. Ultimately, I really love both and the people in each series but have decided, at this point to focus only on the SMT with SCCA and NASA. Therefore, she needs to go.
