1992 911/964 Cabriolet 5 Speed For Sale 70K Miles 

Polar Silver Metallic, Black Fabric Top, Classic Gray/Light Gray Two Tone interior.  Clean Carfax. 

70k miles.  2 Keys. Most maintenance records since 2003, and they show a history of a very open checkbook.  Clear PA title in hand.

Freshly tuned (plugs/fluids/filters).  New tires and brakes 600 miles ago.  Maintenance up to date in all respects.  Runs and drives perfectly.  Everything works as it should, including all gauges, cruise control, air conditioning, electric top, factory alarm and rear wing.

Full glass out repaint in original color with all new factory windshield, seals, welting and lenses front and rear in 2018.  Front Seats were restored and recovered in factory color leather in 2018 as well.  New convertible top in 2018, with new motors and latches.  Only driven 2k miles since then.  Original tonneau cover included shows minor wear.

Car presents as excellent in most respects.  The car drives as new.  It is best appreciated in person as everyone who has seen it has remarked that it looks better than digital images.  It has 70k miles but presents extremely well thanks to the 2018 restoration.  And yes, it has the infamous tiny crack on the rear spoiler 😊  Just got 2nd place in the Schattenbaum PCA Concours on 7/16/22 against all air cooled cars.  Interesting factory two tone interior with Dash, Door Tops and Seat Piping in Classic Gray and remainder of interior in Light Gray.

I am the fifth owner.  Fourth owner was a now retired physician in South Carolina who loved the Porsche, purchased in 2003 with 55k miles and had the car restored to near new condition in 2018 at 68K miles.

New Stoddard Toolkit with new fan belts 3/2022.  Spare tire, lug wrench, jack and Compressor (no broken clips) included.  Owners manual included but no leather sleeve or maintenance book.

Sound system works great and the new Blaupunkt Bremen provides Bluetooth streaming in addition to hands free phone integration while looking like it belongs there.

This is a 964 you can just get in and drive.  It’s ready for the next 70K miles. Known issues with the age of these cars have been addressed, including a solid state DME relay.

Price is OBO but I am not in a hurry to sell.  Low ball offers will not receive a response.  Not interested in consignment sale “opportunities” or trades other than 997 Turbo, 997.2, 987.2, 991.1, 981 S/GTS, 718 GTS or a well prepared, fast and streetable DE car.

Notes:

·         Front Bumper Cover was touched to a parking block by previous owner and close examination shows two damaged areas on the underside of the cover.  Not visible from above.

·         A few minor paint imperfections (see images in album)

·         Very minor mark on lower dashboard (see images in album)

·         Carpet is original and shows some wear as a bit less “fluffy” in a few areas

·         Non-Stock Shift **** (can be replaced easily with a factory Classic Gray shift ****)

·         Top Replaced, Seats recovered and Full Glass Out Repaint performed because previous owner wanted car restored to mint condition in 2018

·         Originally delivered with rear seat delete.  Previous owner installed matching rear seats.  The rear seat delete is included but is missing the storage compartment doors.

·         Engine Sound Pad is original and should be replaced at the next engine out service.

·         Front Brake calipers look “fine” but do not present as new and should be refinished to match the rest of the vehicle.

·         Engine does not drip oil when engine/trans undertray is installed.  With the undertray removed there is a very minor drip (which seems to just burn off when the tray is in place).

·         The rear seat center locking point was just replaced but is non-stock (a 964 body section including the locking point is included)

·         The manual spoiler switch stopped working a few days ago.
