My Vi Gen 1 went crazy when I used it, reacting to all the front, rear and side sensors on all the other cars. Valentine gave me $110 toward an upgrade to a V1 Gen 2. Now, I have silence, except for genuine radar.

No, the photo shows a Gen 1. The Valentine Gen 1 was the best radar detector back when the they were new. Today, the Gen 1 still works well, but reports every signal it receives. Every door, front, rear and side sensor. My Gen 1 showed 9 bogeys and didn't shut up here in suburban Chicago. I upgraded to a Gen 2.
