Please excuse my naivete, but I'm sure other's have the same question. If this is "not for road use" does that mean that it can't be registered ever for road use in the U.S." So a true "garage queen" or pure track car? What about the special "show and display" DOT authorization with the 2,500 mileage limit? That's how a few 996.2 gt3rs cars managed to get imported and driven on U.S. Roads. thanks.

Only exception is if you're a dealer (or have an access to a dealer's tag) you can drive this car everyday without fear of being confiscated. No need to register or the hassle of inspection. Did that to a JDM R-32 GT-R (right hand drive) drove it for a couple of years and sold when it qualified for the 25 year rule. Surely, this one is special!

It can be registered once converted to USA dot/EPA specs.
Wallace labs in Texas does this along with Bruce Canepa.
Cost is around 30k-40k.
