After a clean bill of health from a PPI by Heyer Performance in the Bay Area, I bought this 911 in original condition. I then had them replace the IMS, RMS, AOS, clutch, flywheel and battery then shipped it directly to Fisher Motors in Barrington, IL. They handled the modifications listed below and then it went to A&L Autobody and had the minor body work. All these shops mentioned are highly regarded by their respective local Porsche communities. A&L Autobody also serves a lot of the Windy City BMWCCA folks. I truly thought I would have this car forever which is why I invested so much into it. Fisher replaced a oil pressure sensor then gave the it a completely clean bill of heath.

Paintwork/Bodywork
Previous accidentally bumped into the car port on the right front side, panicked a bit and quickly reversed into the opposite side/corner. This damaged both bumpers and the wheel well liner. There were also some scratches to the passenger door where it meets the rear quarter. I had all this repaired once it arrived back here and do have pictures of the damages prior to being repaired.
Front bumper replaced last fall. Ran over a speed bump which pulled the lip and cracked the tab that holds the front lip up. All the paint work was done by A&L Autobody in Palatine, IL, which does a done of work for BMWCCA and PCA members. Check them out of Google.
A few stone chips on the hood and a clear coat scratch just in front of the passenger side rear wheel well.
It does have two chips in the windshield, which I have never gotten around to repairing.
Headlights need to be polished as they are starting to oxidize
This is my 2nd 40th AE and I absolutely love these cars. I regretting selling my first and will most likely regret selling this one. I did all the mods without any concern about resale value because I really thought I would have this one a long time. I built if for me and around my tastes. A car that was nice, but not exactly pristine like my first one.
Will come with all the OEM parts minus the oem front air dam (replaced with the Turbo one)– but I do have the seats, suspension bits and the rear wiper.
So why I am selling - despite it not being a garage queen, I primarily drove it to work on sunny days and then weekend drives with my wife and daughter. I put less than 2000 miles on it in 2017. Two major changes for 2018. I moved our office 6 miles away from my home and we had twin boys to our world. This car would barely see 500 miles this year if I kept it.
Back to the car - coilovers are simply one of the best upgrades you can do to a 996. Transforms the ride and certainly improves the handling. The GT3 control arms were added to try to get rid of some of the understeer that comes standard with most 911's. Rick, the owner of Fisher Motors, did an amazing job on setting the car up for me great for back roads or track, but also be very compliant and controlled over rough surfaces. Turn in is excellent and it rotates beautifully.
I have done one track event (prior to changing the brakes/tires) in 2018. Two 20 minute sessions. I race a Spec Miata so not much desire for track days.

Alex sold me his first 40th nearly 8 years ago, it was perfect,...just a perfect car ( too nice to keep, were his words )
I'm certain he had a Turbo for a bit and then went back to to this 40th
He's an instantly likable guy with a lot of knowledge and can really drive !!
I'll second the work for Rick Fisher and how he sets up cars, I too have coilovers and upgraded sways and
mine is exceptionally well mannered, I would recommend Fisher to anyone
to potential purchasers, I'd leave the car the way it is - this is how a C2 car should be

and you applied the terms; ' tossable and playfulness ' in regards to the 40th's power and weight
These truly are special cars - I will never part with mine
