I have had the car for four years, and it has opened my eyes to a whole different type of motoring. This has been by far the best car I've ever owned, but I just don't drive it enough, and think it's maybe time to move it on to someone who'll enjoy it more frequently.
When I was searching for a 996, I waited until I found what I thought was the perfect spec. Mine is as follows:
Black on black
6MT
Porsche Sports Exhaust
Porsche Stability Management
Crest in Headrest
Carbon Package (Steering Wheel, Gear ****, Hand Brake, Entry Guards)
Heated Seats (Driver and Passenger)
As far as the mechanical is concerned, the car has been taken care of locally by Midwest Eurosport, and Mark at Cars Plus.
Mechanical work done includes:
IMS done at 46k miles (March 2014) by Midwest Eurosport
Clutch done at 46k miles (March 2014) by Midwest Eurosport
Air Oil Separator done at 46k miles (March 2014) by Midwest Eurosport
Water Pump done at 53k miles (May 2018) by Mark at Cars Plus
New tires (Continental Extreme Contact) installed at 56k miles (May 2021)
Cosmetically the interior is a very solid 9/10, and on the exterior there are a couple of blemishes I tried to capture on camera, and one of the wheels has very, very slight curbing (also pictured).
The car has been garage kept for the duration of my ownership, and the gentleman that owned it before me. I just took it out this week, and it needs a detail so I apologize for posting a mixture of new and older pictures, and will refresh with new ones when she's cleaned.
I have two sets of keys, all books and a good stack of receipts / invoices for the work listed, plus more.
I am located in the South West suburbs of Chicago, and am asking $38,000 OBO.
You listing mentioned "trade." what kind of trade would you be looking for? If you want to get a roadster, I've got a 986 with some goodies on it.
Thanks bud, I’m open to trades and am willing to add money, although I have no set ideas on what, but I don’t see a 986 in my future though. Best of luck!!
