Morning All, thank you for the positive feedback, the car is an absolute gem
I have received an inundating amount of interest on Rennlist and Craigslist, This is a first come first serve scenario
Once again, not interested in physical cash, wire of certified check only
The car is in Los Angeles if anyone wants to view it, its essentially brand new so there really isn't a lot to think about other than just the ability to purchase the car
The "no cash" sure does add some color to this. Seller looks like a ton of fun to deal with.
Normally I would think that's odd to post too, but assuming he's truly buying a home, a paper trail of all your money is important for the mortgage company. Cash makes things complicated in that scenario.
Nah. Wire is going to be the same as cash. He will have splaining to do either way.
Yup. Notable that cash has a few intermediary steps to get offshore, though, where a wire doesn't. Concerns about counterfeit are easily solved with a transaction at a bank branch to verify the currency.

I’m in the process of buying an investment property and I sold two cars to fund a portion of the down payment….cash is a huge red flag. A wire is a completely traceable transaction when a bill of sale accompanies/supports the wire and its a domestic wire……it’s a non issue. Cash scares mortgage underwriters even when accompanied by a bill of sale. There are also additional reporting requirements when flowing that type of cash through a bank just to pull it out for a purchase. See Ozark, haha
So the request/reason is legit…..
It’s a nice car and I’m not a Buyer for $90k over sticker but I’m sure someone out there is.

Except seller is also A-OK with a cashier's check. The likelihood of this money heading initially or very quickly to a non-US bank seems very high.
GLWS, I guess, to add a comment about the car. If I bought a car of this caliber and value and it had 430 miles on it at delivery, I'd be asking questions. That's an order of magnitude more miles than I'd want off the lot.
Delivery miles are generally 10-25. This is not delivery miles and with a stick one would want to see a DME rev report. A couple of PTS GT3's have sold close to 90K over but not a regular paint car. A lot of Chalk out there for sure.
