Description:

For sale is my 2003 996 Turbo 6 speed in Slate Grey with Black supple leather. Previously maintained and sold by RAC in the Dallas, TX area, I purchased this car in late 2000 with the intention of making it my forever car.

Key Features:
Optional color in Slate Grey
X50 power kit
PCCB (however, ceramics were replaced with steel rotors during previous ownership)
Sport Techno Wheels

Modifications by Previous Owners:
Bilstein PSS9
GT3 Lower Control Arms
H&R Front and Rear Sways
GIAC X50 Tune
Milltek Exhaust
Forge Diverter Valve
B&M Short Shifter

Since purchasing the car at 58K miles, I've also added:
19" AG Ruger Mesh Wheels with Bridgestone Pole Position S-04 Tires w/ approx. 6K miles
Rennline Front Shock Tower Brace
Rennline Front Radiator Grill Mesh
Misha Design 997 Rear Spoiler in CF w/ Fixed Ram Kit
Bluetooth connection for CDR23
CF Horseshoe and Center Console Trims

Maintenance items during my ownership:
60K Service complete w/ plugs and coils by TPWS
Wheel alignment & suspension tuning by ATX Autosports
Oil change @ 58K and 63K
Front drive axles replaced with O.E. Porsche parts
L&R front wheel liners
Water pump
Front 350MM steel rotors
F&R Hawke HPS pads and all new hardware (retaining clip, secure pins and sensors)
Engine mounts
HVAC blend door actuator (foam coming out of vents) fix

Exterior (8/10) - The paint to my knowledge is original. Front 1/3 is covered in protective film. Some very minor stone chip marks on L&R rear lower panel below the air inlet. One ding on the roof panel above the front windshield that is visible if you stare at it long enough at certain angles. Two more scratches - one on the rear bumper (approx. 1") and the other on the rear quarter panel. Both scratches can be easily addressed with some paint correction.  The rear hydraulic spoiler lift was rebuilt by the previous owner, but it started leaking from one of the lines so I went with a fixed solution for my aftermarket spoiler set up.

Interior (8/10) - Let's face it, supple leathers don't age well and get noisy over time. Some wrinkles in the driver's seat cushion and the side bolsters show some wear. No chipped soft paint issues because I replaced those trim pieces with carbon fiber replacement parts. Most notable blemishes with the interior: 1 a nail scratch mark on the glove compartment. 2. hairline crack on the face of CDR23. Everything else works great.

Mechanical (8/10) - Personally I think the condition of my 996 is excellent, but I'm biased. This is my 2nd 996 Turbo and I do most of the regular maintenance myself. I did send the car to TPWS for 60K baseline and front axles replacement. While the car was there they identified a faint whine from the water pump, so it was replaced as well. The suspension was tuned by ATX Autosports - aggressive negative camber and ride height changed to a more neutral setting. Brakes were replaced with new front rotors and F&R brake pads and a fresh flush. The clutch is tight and shifting is smooth. Transmission is good and no 2nd gear pop out whatsoever. I did notice SAI (secondary air injector) has started whining until the cats warm up, which takes about 30 secs.

I love this car but I've got my sight locked on another project car. PPI is welcome and I'm happy to cover or deduct repair costs from the sales price. All parts removed from the car will be included with the sale (rear spoiler, Sport Techno wheels, horseshoe/trim pieces, CD changer and anything else I couldn’t think of)
