Exterior (8/10) - The paint to my knowledge is original. Front 1/3 is covered in protective film. Some very minor stone chip marks on L&R rear lower panel below the air inlet. One ding on the roof panel above the front windshield that is visible if you stare at it long enough at certain angles. Two more scratches - one on the rear bumper (approx. 1") and the other on the rear quarter panel. Both scratches can be easily addressed with some paint correction. The rear hydraulic spoiler lift was rebuilt by the previous owner, but it started leaking from one of the lines so I went with a fixed solution for my aftermarket spoiler set up.
Interior (8/10) - Let's face it, supple leathers don't age well and get noisy over time. Some wrinkles in the driver's seat cushion and the side bolsters show some wear. No chipped soft paint issues because I replaced those trim pieces with carbon fiber replacement parts. Most notable blemishes with the interior: 1 a nail scratch mark on the glove compartment. 2. hairline crack on the face of CDR23. Everything else works great.
Mechanical (8/10) - Personally I think the condition of my 996 is excellent, but I'm biased. This is my 2nd 996 Turbo and I do most of the regular maintenance myself. I did send the car to TPWS for 60K baseline and front axles replacement. While the car was there they identified a faint whine from the water pump, so it was replaced as well. The suspension was tuned by ATX Autosports - aggressive negative camber and ride height changed to a more neutral setting. Brakes were replaced with new front rotors and F&R brake pads and a fresh flush. The clutch is tight and shifting is smooth. Transmission is good and no 2nd gear pop out whatsoever. I did notice SAI (secondary air injector) has started whining until the cats warm up, which takes about 30 secs.
I love this car but I've got my sight locked on another project car. PPI is welcome and I'm happy to cover or deduct repair costs from the sales price. All parts removed from the car will be included with the sale (rear spoiler, Sport Techno wheels, horseshoe/trim pieces, CD changer and anything else I couldn’t think of)
