Looking for an excellent 1978 or 1979 Porsche 928. Originality and condition is key, mileage is less important as long as the car has been well maintained and is mechanically sound. Pasha or leather. Willing to spend up to $100k+ for a truly no BS, excellent example. I've wanted one of these cars since I was a kid, and the design is partially what inspired me to get into design in the first place. I own a number of 911s, but this would be my first 928. If you've got one, let's talk. Thank you.

I'm thinking of selling my 78. the paint is original color but was blue at some point. I just had blue/black pasha put in it. Is a 5-spd with LSD, no sunroof, no rubstrips. 78K miles. I've got it to a very reliable state. Its in PA. Let me know if interested.

OP Good luck in your search! Be patient, they are out there but VERY few and far between! I had to look at a LOT of cars to find my HellBlau 79 that was totally original and excellent. The advice I would give is either leave enough budget to go thru it stem to stern mechanically or find one that has been driven a fair amount in the very recent past, they don't like sitting yet are quite reliable when in regular use and service. Mine had covered just 6k miles since 1986, so aesthetically it was great but I went into with my eyes open mechanically. I have put 3k miles on it in the past 6 months and every time I drive it something comes up. Each drive though it gets better and better and I know I will get over the hump.Planning a 7,000 mile trip for it this summer! Driving it is sublime!

There is a '93 black on black 928 GTS (manual with 67K miles) currently for sale on facebook marketplace in Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA. Asking price is $105k.
