Description:
Hello all,
Wife and I are potentially looking to potentially sell our 958 CTT. We’ve owned it for about a year and overall it’s been a great vehicle for our family. Recently the wife has been looking at 957 GTS Cayennes so we figured we would put ours.
We purchased the vehicle back in November of ‘20 with 147k miles from an owner in VA that decided to have it be his “temporary” vehicle while waiting for his C8 vette.
Exterior is black but under direct sunlight it looks like a dark blue. Interior color looks like a taupe.
The options for the vehicle include:
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Heated / Ventilated Front Seats
- Heated Rear Seats
- Bluetooth telephone and audio
- Power folding mirrors
- Fully adjustable steering wheel
- Alcantara headliner
- Sunroof
- Tow hitch
And so much more!
During our ownership we’ve done the following:12/2/2020
Oil Change - 147,885
Transfer case fluid changed - 147,885
12/12/2020
Alarm module replaced
4/22/21
Trans service completed
Brake pads replaced (Brembo)
7/7/2021
Oil change - 157,509 (5W40 Castrol Synthetic)
Next due at 167,509
There have been some modifications done to the car:
- 22” Replica Turbo wheels. Wheels are in very good condition with very minor curb rash.
- Lowering links
- Roof Racks
- PPF on front bumper (already on vehicle when I got it)
Vehicle runs and drives perfectly with no issues to my knowledge. The imperfections that I would like to mention are:
- Small coolant leak. My wife has been working from home so she hasn’t been driving it as much as she used to. During long periods of time being parked (week or so) I would notice a small amount of coolant below the car. During an oil change, my mechanic took a quick look at it but didn’t see anything obvious while it was in the air.
- leather on passenger rear door is starting to separate. It also happened on the driver front door panel but my local upholstery shop was able to fix it for $100. Just haven’t had time to drop it off for the passengers, especially because we aren’t driving it as much before.
- the small clips in some of the front AC vents are missing. I bought one before for $10? Just haven’t taken the time to order new ones.
Clean title in hand with no lien. The 3rd owner was involved in some sort of accident with the rear end. According to CarFax, it was considered minor. I do have the CarFax available for anyone seriously interested.
Asking $25k obo OR open to trades (preferably 957 GTS)
Change the transfer case fluid every 20k miles, should be fine. Worst case it’s a $4000 fix from the dealer. Porsche is obligated to warranty them from 10 years from build date regardless of miles.
All Porsches of this vintage had glue on the coolant pipes that will eventually fail. Mine finally started to leak at 140k or so. New thermostat, housing, water pump and a few other “while you’re in there” fixes added up to $2900 at the local (pricey) independent. (They charge $282 for an oil change I can do for $60)
Most 2010-2011 V8s had a recall on the camshaft bolts. Porsche has to fix regardless of mileage. I had hoped my early ‘12 was one so I can get a top-end rebuild (and labor for “while you’re in there”) paid by Porsche. Nope. The dealer can run the VIN to see if subject to recall.
Air suspension can be a wild card. Oil changes, spark plug & coil packs, brakes, filters & fluids are all DIY w great support on RL.
Looks like a nicely speced car at a fair price.

we are super happy with ours and don’t have to sell it. We will only let it for the right price or a Cayenne GTS
Anyway, I happen to be in the market for a cheapish, higher mileage CayenneTT or GTS for a daily and have some interesting partial trade ideas for yours if the Cayenne is still available. Not sure if I have the ability to DM you on Rennlist…but reach out to me: chris dot konstantinos@gmail dot com….i was looking for your number but couldn’t find it. Thanks!
